Preparation and development of documentation necessary for chemical registration in the Chemical Register;

Responsible for the proper application of regulations in the areas of classification, packaging, labeling, and advertising of chemicals;

Activities related to the preparation of safety data sheets for chemicals;

Coordinates and participates in the implementation of procedures for the import and export of certain hazardous chemicals;

Application of restrictions and bans on the production and marketing of chemicals that pose unacceptable risks to human health and the environment (restrictions and bans related to marketing or use, restrictions on the total content of volatile organic compounds – VOCs);

Preparation of documentation necessary for issuing permits for:

1. Trading in particularly hazardous chemicals, and

2. The use of particularly hazardous chemicals;

Guidelines and formation of records on the trade of chemicals;

Preparation of label content for all hazardous chemicals and biocidal products in accordance with the Chemical Act (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 36/2009, 88/2010, 92/2011, 93/2012, and 25/2015) and the Biocidal Products Act (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 109/2021), and control and corrections of existing labels;

Preparation and submission of basic data for the registration of biocidal products in the Temporary List;

Formation and submission of requests for approval and temporary permits for marketing biocidal products;

Participation in the preparation of safety data sheets for biocidal products and active substances;

Implementation of regulations related to the classification, labeling, and advertising of biocidal products;

Collaboration in ensuring safe storage and handling of chemicals and biocidal products;

Cooperation and communication with the relevant ministry;

Cooperation with the relevant inspection authorities.
